between fingers and forearms for at least 20 seconds

Suggestions for the Sack Lunches
- Juice boxes or water bottles
- Sandwich (PJ&J, ham, turkey, etc.)
- Fruit cups, vegetables in a sandwich bag
- Dessert (cookie, pudding, fruit snacks, etc.)
Suggestions for Food Preparation
- If bringing any food item made with peanuts, please have an alternative for the kids who have a peanut allergy
- Wash hands before preparing (see above) and wear gloves while preparing the lunches
- In case there is a problem, keep a list of names of all who have handled the food
- All workers at the site should be at least high school age
- Please be prepared to serve, rain or shine
Some Other Food Thoughts
- If there is any item that cannot be eaten using one's own fingers, please provide the proper plastic utensils
- If a child asks for two lunches, either for himself or to take home for a sibling or parent, the answer is always yes.
Your organization will be responsible for preparing, transporting and serving the lunches. Lunch Bunch
volunteers will be there to guide you through the process. Also, they will provide the tables, tent, books, and game tub.
Please plan on being ready to serve beginning at noon. Serving should only take about 30 minutes. If anyone from your group
would like to stay around and read or play with the children, that would be wonderful!
